I know that a boiler suit isn’t for everyone but I love them. This one is made from needlecord which makes it particularly great. It is definitely something that I would be more likely to wear than mum but here at Graham St we like to mix it up a bit so here you are - mum in a boiler suit. We used our usual styling tricks-the turtle neck, jacket and neck scarf- to make the overall look ‘her’. We pulled the pale blue from the scarf into her socks and added trainers that mum feels comfortable in. If you are trying something for the first time that takes you out of your comfort zone, it can help to accessorise with old favourites.

If, on the other hand, jumpsuits are a firm staple in your wardrobe then take a proper look at this one - it’s a goodie, wink wink.

I was chatting to a fashion buyer this week and she was telling me about her buying trips to Copenhagen and Paris. For a long time now the Scandi’s have been ruling the fashion roost but for the first time in a very long time, she said that Paris, rather than Copenhagen, was more exciting. You only have to walk down Marylebone High Street in central London to see all the wonderful French brands on offer. Sezane, for example, has been on a meteoric rise for a while now - and understandably so. Their collections are a feast for the eyes. Sessùn and Soeur are two other lovely labels doing exciting things at the moment. What I really love about these brands is that they use lots of vibrant colour but manage to restrain the overall aesthetic by using beautiful earthy tones too.

The French look is de rigueur - mais bien sûr!
