Caramel

Caramel

I’m sure that if you are a Graham St follower and enjoy a similar aesthetic to us, you’ll no doubt have a blue and white striped shirt in your wardrobe. If this is the case then let me introduce you to an alternative… a brown and white striped shirt- ta da! Just as versatile but a little bit different. Fantastic with all earthy tones but also gorgeous with blues and most hues of red and yellow. The brown and white looks awesome with white and cream jeans but also tan trousers and true blue denim.

The jacket is by a new favourite label of mine called Soeur. Incredible colours, beautiful silhouettes and just all-round chic. It’s French, of course. Unusual colour combinations always draw me in and this jacket is a case in point. The grey with the caramel but accented by the cream piping is perfection. The over-sized shape keeps the jacket contemporary and cool. It is an investment piece but I do believe that it will stand the test of time.

Mum’s jeans are by Aligne. Aligne is only four years old but they have made waves in that time. Their quality to price is very good, creating relatively classic designs but with a modern eye. Everything is designed in Shoreditch, London. The sleeveless navy cardigan that I was wearing last week is also by them.

Speaking of last week, here I am wearing mum’s short sleeved linen shirt. It really is a gem - perfect with all manner of outfits including some dresses, a pinafore dress for example. I should quickly talk about this actually. If you have a sleeveless dress that has been hanging in your wardrobe for a while because you are hesitant to have lots of skin on show, throw a t-shirt or shirt underneath it. The only problem that I have encountered is if the dress arm hole is small, the shirt sleeve rumples and puckers under the arm. If this is the case try and find a tighter fitting t-shirt and this should solve the problem.

My linen trousers are by Beyond Nine. For those of you who have been following us for a while, you will have heard me mention them before. The brand was started by Naomi Raybould who, whilst pregnant, found a distinct lack of choice in maternity wear. She also felt strongly that anything that she did buy, should be suitable to wear after pregnancy too. The concept for Beyond Nine was born. Their customers are both pregnant and non pregnant alike but because they are designed with pregnant ladies in mind, the garments are COMFY. These trousers have an elasticated waistband which I am not usually a fan of but they have been cleverly cut so as not to have that usual look of an elasticated waist.

My eldest daughter calls them my Aladdin trousers….haha! There are various different styles though so if the travelling prince-to-be on a carpet isn’t your chosen look, then there are a few different leg shapes to choose from and a myriad of colours and patterns too.
